Out-of-favour Super Eagles defender Taye Taiwo has moved to Poland to join Legia Warsaw for trials until the end of the season.
Taiwo decided to move out of his Turkish
club, Bursaspor, after being left out of the squad since the beginning
of the season by manager Senol Gunes.
Legia said on their website that Taiwo
had his first training with the club on Monday and is line to face
either Karabakh Agdam or Zenit St. Petersburg in the two friendlies
outlined for the team on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old has been given the number 31 jersey ahead of the two games.
The left back had played for Olympique Marseille, AC Milan, Queens Park Rangers, Dinamo Kiev before joining Bursaspor.
Legia are currently atop the Polish league with 38 points in 19 games and take on Jagiellonia Bialystok in their next game.
